Move the tape volumes from off-site to on-site You should move the backup volumes from your off-site location to your site. We recommend that you track the tapes in a movement log. Update the volume to scratch Use the delete volhistory command to return the database backup volumes to scratch. Because there is no way to just delete the oldest database backup volumes, you must delete backups that are older than a specified number of days. Example 13-45 uses five days.
