Figure 13-10 IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and tape life cycle Providing that all of your primary storage pools are being backed up, then under normal conditions, the off-site tapes contain exactly the same versions of valid data that you have on-site. This means that on-site and off-site volumes mirror the same data, correct to the time of the last storage pool backup operation.
