Stacking backup images SysBack provides the ability to stack multiple backups on a single tape. Recreate LVM structures only. Recreate LVM structures and restore data all in the same process. You can restore and recreate either an entire backup image, or any subset of data on a backup. For example, considering a volume group backup, you can: Restore the entire volume group and data. Recreate only the volume group LVM structures. Restore one or more individual file systems. Recreate only the LVM structure of one or more file systems. Restore one or more individual logical volumes. Recreate only the LVM structure of one or more logical volumes.
