However, if you are running additional Tivoli Storage Manager server instances on the same system, you must manually upgrade the database for each instance using the dsmserv upgradedb command. If you are using the Tivoli Storage Manager server in an HACMP cluster and want to migrate to V5.3 from any previous version, you will need to convert to the new startserver script. Device resets are no longer performed by the startserver script. They are now done by the server during initialization of the library. If the resetdrives parameter is set to yes for a library, then the reset will be performed on the library manager for the library and all drives defined to it. If a library is defined as shared, the resetdrives parameter automatically defaults to yes for the library. Otherwise, you can run the update library command with resetdrives=yes.
