MEMORY OPERATION 4 MEMORY OPERATION ■■ Entering a Memory or Bank name • S electable characters and symbols: You can enter an alphanumeric name for each Memory channel, Call channel, and Bank. Names can up to 6 characters. • The operations are for the MAIN band. qqSelect a Memory channel to enter a name. • T o enter a Bank name, select a Bank group. wwPush [MW]C to display the Memory entry screen. eeRotate [DIAL]S to select "EDIT." rrPush [ï]D. ttRotate [DIAL]S to select "NAME." • To enter a Bank name, select "B NAME." yyPush [ï]D. uuRotate [DIAL]S to select a desired character or symbol. (Example: A) When entering a Memory name [A] [B] [C] [D] [E] [F] [G] [H] [ I ] [J] [K] [L] [M] [N] [O] [P] [Q] [R] [S] [T] [U] [V] [W] [X] [Y] [Z] [0] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9 Space ] 4 • Push [CLR]D to delete the selected character or symbol. • W hen no character or symbol is selected, push [≈](D) to enter a space. iiPush [Ω] to move the cursor backwards, or push [≈] to move the cursor forwards. ooRepeat steps u and i to enter a name of up to 6 charac- ters, including spaces. !0 After entering, push [ï]D. !1 Rotate [DIAL]S to select "WRITE." !2 Push [ï]D. • Displays "OVERW?." !3 Rotate [DIAL]S to select "YES." !4 Push [ï]D. • Sounds beeps, writes the entered name to the channel, and returns to the VFO mode. Entering a Memory or Bank name
You can enter an alphanumeric name for each Memory chan-
nel, Call channel, and Bank.
Names can up to 6 characters.
• The operations are for the MAIN band.
Select a Memory channel to enter a name.
