11 Bluetooth® OPERATION ■■ VOX function (Continued) DDVOX-related settings You can set the "VOX.DLY" (VOX delay) and "VOX.TOT" (VOX Time-out timer) items in EXMENU. (p. 17) • VOX Delay "VOX.DLY" The VOX delay is the amount of time the transmitter stays ON after you stop speaking. It allows for normal pauses in speaking. • VOX Time-Out Timer "VOX.TOT" The VOX Time-Out Timer prevents accidental prolonged transmission. NOTE: While receiving a signal or sounding a beep, the transceiver does not switch to transmit, even if you speak. ■■Other headset settings DDAF Output If the "AF OUT" (AF output) item is set to "HS+SP" (Headset & Speaker), you can hear audio from both a connected Bluetooth® headset and the transceiver's speaker. qqPush [MENU ]C. • Enters the MENU mode. wwRotate [DIAL]S to select "AF OUT" (AF output). VOX Delay
“VOX.DLY”
The VOX delay is the amount of time the transmitter stays
ON after you stop speaking. It allows for normal pauses in
speaking.
VOX Time-Out Timer
“VOX.TOT”
The VOX Time-Out Timer prevents accidental prolonged
transmission.
NOTE:
While receiving a signal or sounding a beep, the
transceiver does not switch to transmit, even if you speak.
