6 The simplified ARPA operation ARPA operation DDDescription of the ARPA display If the radar has received ARPA information of other vessels or other targets, the icons are displayed as shown below. LLSee "ARPA settings" later in this section for customizing the ARPA setting options. 1 2 3 4 Posn: 34°38.448 N/135°22.664 E T CRS: 172.7°T TSPD: 15.9kn CPA: 0.594 NM TCPA: 07m 19s BRG: 035.1°R Dist: 2.397 NM Posn: 34°34.707 N 135°20.550 E BRG: 036.4°R Dist: 2.480 NM 5 1 Auto Acquiring zone Displayed when the Auto Acquire Function is turned ON in the Menu screen. The zone is fixed to the ±45° and 2 ~ 2.5 NM against your vessel's heading. 2 ARPA Target Displayed when any ARPA target is began to acquire or acquired. 3 Selected ARPA target You can select an ARPA target by moving the cursor and pushing [ENTER]/[ ] on it. Four corners of a square are displayed when a target is selected. The selected ARPA target detail is displayed in the ARPA information box (5). 4 ARPA icon Displayed when Simplified ARPA function started to acquire or acquired a target. LLIf the Maximum number of ARPA Targets are acquired, "FULL" is displayed below the icon. 5 ARPA information box Displays the selected APRA target details in the information box.
