BIOS Setup Access Access to the Setup program can be restricted using passwords. User and supervisor passwords can be set using the Security menu in Setup. The default is no passwords enabled. Recovering BIOS Data Some types of failure can destroy the BIOS. For example, the data can be lost if a power outage occurs while the BIOS is being updated in flash memory.
