Functional Architecture Intel® Server Board S1200V3RP 3. Functional Architecture The architecture and design of the Intel® Server Board S1200V3RP is based on the Intel® C220 series chipset. The chipset is designed for systems based on the Intel® Xeon® processor in an LGA 1150 Socket H3 package. The Intel® Server Board S1200V3RPO uses Intel® C224 chipset. The Intel® Server Board S1200V3RPS uses Intel® C222 chipset. The Intel® Server Board S1200V3RPL and S1200V3RPM use Intel® C226 chipset. The Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1200 V3 Processors are made up of multi-core processors based on the 22nm processor technology. The 4th Intel® Core™ i3 Processors are made up of dual-core processors based on the 22nm processor technology. This chapter provides a high-level description of the functionality associated with each chipset component and the architectural blocks that make up the server boards.
