26 EN BASIC PLAYBACK Playback From Memory Card Stop Button (5) Rewind Button (2) Play/Pause Button (4/6) Fast-Forward Button (3) Power Switch SELECT Button Lock Button MENU Wheel VIDEO/MEMORY Switch (Open the LCD monitor to access this switch.) [For Normal Playback: IMAGE] To display the next image To display the previous image Normal Playback 1 Load a memory card (੬ pg. 13). 2 Set the VIDEO/MEMORY Switch to "MEMORY", then set the Power Switch to " " while pressing down the Lock Button located on the switch. • A stored file is displayed. If you want to select another type of file, go to step 3. If not, go to step 4. 3 Press SELECT. The MEMORY SELECT Screen appears. Rotate the MENU wheel to select the type of file: IMAGE, E-MAIL CLIP (੬ pg. 46), SOUND (੬ pg. 45) or TITLE (੬ pg. 48). Then press the MENU wheel in. The selected type of file is displayed. 4 If you are viewing an IMAGE file . . . Press 3 to display the next image, or press 2 to display the previous image. If you are viewing an E-MAIL CLIP file . . . Press 4/6 to play back the displayed video clip. To stop video clip playback, press 5. If you are listening to a SOUND file . . . Press D.SOUND to play back the displayed sound effect. • Pressing INFO gives you details on the displayed file (੬ pg. 27, "Viewing File Information"). • You can also overview several files at a time (੬ pg. 27, Index Playback). • You can turn off the on-screen playback display (੬ pg. 27, "Removing On-Screen Display"). Display [For Auto Playback: IMAGE] E-MAIL CLIP Normal Playback: E-MAIL CLIP SOUND Normal Playback: SOUND Auto Playback You can run through all the files stored on the memory card automatically. NOTE: Auto Playback does not work with video clips. 1 Perform steps 1 and 2 above. 2 Press 4/6. • If you press 2 during Auto Playback, files are displayed in descending order. • If you press 3 during Auto Playback, files are displayed in ascending order. 3 To end Auto Playback, press 5. NOTE: Even if you shoot a new image after playing back a lownumbered one, this will not overwrite an existing image, because new images are automatically stored after the last-recorded one.
