ReadyNAS OS 6.7 Choose an administrator password that is different from the default password and keep it in a safe place. Anyone who obtains the administrator password can change settings or erase data that is stored on the ReadyNAS. Note Until you change the administrator password you cannot be authenticated as admin when accessing shares. To change the administrator password: 1. Log in to the admin page. 2. Select Admin Password. 3. Configure the settings as explained in the following table: Item Description Password Enter a new administrator password. Re-enter Password Confirm the new password. Enable Password Recovery Select this check box to enable password recovery. Note that the Physical Reset Button method is available even if you do not enable password recovery, but you need physical access to the ReadyNAS system to use this method. Anyone who obtains the administrator password can change settings or erase data that is stored on the
ReadyNAS.
Until you change the administrator password you cannot be authenticated as admin
when accessing shares.

To change the administrator password:
