Listening Mode T-D (TheaterDimensional) T-D Description Input Speaker Source Layout With this mode you can enjoy a virtual surround sound even with only two or three speakers. This works by controlling how sounds reach the listener's left and right ears. Good results may not be possible if there's too much reverb, so we recommend that you use this mode in an environment with little or no natural reverb. (As the analog video circuitry is turned off, only video signals input through HDMI IN can be output from the HDMI output.) In this mode, audio from the input source is output without surround-sound processing. The speaker configuration (presence of speakers) and speaker distance settings are enabled, but much of the processing set via the audio setup is disabled. See "On-screen Setup" for more details (➔ page 48). Sound is output from the front left and right speakers and subwoofer. The seven totally separate audio channels provide better spatial imaging and 360-degree sound localization, perfect for sounds that pan across the surround channels.
