If the station does not, this function will be ignored. 1. To display the radio text, press the RT/PTY/TP button once. • If the station you are currently listening to is not an RDS station, only the frequency of the station will appear. • If "Waiting" appears on the display, more time is required to receive the RT information. When the information is received, the characters will scroll across the front display. • If "No Text Data" appears on the display, RT information is not available. • The display shows the frequency for 3 seconds and returns to program service name. 4. Press the ENTER button. The TX-SR701E/601E will scan until it reaches a station of the program type you selected. It will then stop briefly at that station before continuing on until it reaches the next station. Pressing the ENTER button stops the PTY scan at that point. If you press the RT/PTY/TP while "NONE" is displayed, "PTY ?" will appear. In this case, return to step 3. 5. Press the ENTER button when it reaches the station to which you want to listen. "Not Found" will appear when no RDS signal is being received from the station. Performing a TP scan Performing a PTY scan 1. Press the TUNER input source TUNER button and select the FM input source. 1. Press the TUNER input source TUNER button and select the FM input source. 2. Press the RT/PTY/TP button three times. 2. Press the RT/PTY/TP button twice. The current program type appears on the display. 3. Using the / buttons, select the PTY program type you desire. TUNI NG PRESET "[TP]" will appear if the current station is broadcasting TP signals. This station will periodically broadcast traffic information. To find a different station, proceed to the next step. Also, if "TP" is displayed, proceed to the next step. 3. Press the ENTER button. The TX-SR701E/601E will scan until it reaches a station broadcasting traffic information. If "Not Found" appears on the display, a TP station cannot be located. 40

If the station you are currently tuned into is broadcasting RT

The TX-SR701E/601E will scan until it
reaches a station of the program type you
selected. It will then stop briefly at that
station before continuing on until it
reaches the next station. Pressing the
ENTER button stops the PTY scan at that
point. If you press the RT/PTY/TP while
“NONE” is displayed, “PTY ?” will
appear. In this case, return to step 3.
