Useful Information Problem You cannot hear a dial tone. You cannot dial. Date and time on the display flashes. The battery is discharged. How do I return to standby mode quickly? Cause/solution L Check the connections (see "Connecting the handset and AC adaptor" on page 14). L Confirm the telephone line cord is properly connected (page 15, 16, 17). L Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect a known working telephone. If the working telephone operates properly, contact our service personnel to have the unit repaired. If the working telephone does not operate properly, contact your telephone service provider. L Check whether the dialing mode selection is correct (see "Dialing mode" on page 24). L Set the date and time (see "Date and time" on page 24). L If you subscribe to Caller ID service, date and time is automatically set when an outside call is received (see "Automatically setting date and time" on page 44). L Please remove the battery when you cut the power supply, as the battery will discharge automatically once the power is cut according to the time shown on page 12. Making/answering calls, intercom
You cannot hear a dial
