Useful Information Caller ID Problem The caller's information is not displayed. The display returns to standby mode while viewing the caller list. When a 2nd call is received on the same line, the unit does not display the new caller's information. You cannot dial the phone number edited in the caller list. Cause/solution L You have not subscribed to Caller ID service. Contact your telephone company to subscribe. L If your unit is connected to any additional telephone equipment such as a Caller ID box or cordless telephone jack, disconnect the unit from the equipment and plug the unit directly into the wall jack. L If your unit is connected to a telephone line with DSL service, we recommend connecting a noise filter between the unit and the telephone line jack (see "Connecting 2 two-line telephone jacks" on page 18, "Connecting four single-line telephone jacks" on page 19). Contact your DSL provider for details. L The name display service may not be available in some areas. Contact your telephone company for details. L Other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit. Disconnect the other equipment and try again. L The caller requested not to send caller information (see "Incoming Caller ID display" on page 43). L If a call is being transferred to you, the caller information is not displayed. L Generally, caller information is displayed from the 2nd ring. L Do not pause for over 30 seconds while searching. L You have not subscribed to Caller ID and/or Call Waiting with Caller ID services. Please contact your telephone service provider for details and availability of this service in your area. L If another call is received on the same line while; -the Automated Attendant System or answering system is responding to a call, or -a call is placed on hold, the caller information will not be displayed. L The phone number you dialed might have an incorrectly edited pattern (for example, the long distance "1" or the area code is missing). Cause/solution
The caller’s
information is not
displayed.

You have not subscribed to Caller ID service. Contact your
telephone company to subscribe.

If your unit is connected to any additional telephone
equipment such as a Caller ID box or cordless telephone
jack, disconnect the unit from the equipment and plug the
