SELF-TIMER When you set [SELF-TIMER] to [ON] ( ), the self-timer starts recording in about 10 seconds after pressing PHOTO to record still images. To cancel the count down, touch [RESET]. To cancel [SELF-TIMER], touch [OFF]. z Tips • You can also set the self-timer with the PHOTO button of the Remote Commander (p. 93). DIGITAL ZOOM You can select the maximum zoom level in case you want to zoom to a level greater than 25 × (the default setting) while recording on a tape. Note that the image quality decreases when you are using the digital zoom. STEADYSHOT You can compensate for camera shake (the default setting is [ON]). Set [STEADYSHOT] to [OFF] ( ) when using a tripod (optional) or the conversion lens (optional), then the image becomes natural. Using the Menu The right side of the bar shows the digital zooming factor. The zooming zone appears when you select the zooming level. B OFF Up to 25 × zoom is performed optically. 50 × Up to 25 × zoom is performed optically, and after that, up to 50 × zoom is performed digitally. 2000 × Up to 25 × zoom is performed optically, and after that, up to 2,000 × zoom is performed digitally. 41
