Side-by-Side Halves the resolution of the right and left images in high definition image quality, and outputs the right and left images aligned side by side. HDMI Resolution Select the output image resolution when connecting this product to a TV with the HDMI cable (supplied).  Auto Normal setting (outputs the signal according to the TV automatically). 1080p Outputs movies with a 1080p signal. 1080i Outputs movies with a 1080i signal. 720p Outputs movies with a 720p signal. 480p (576p) Outputs the 480p (576p) signal. 480i (576i) Outputs the 480i (576i) signal.  Notes  When [ Frame Rate] is set to [60p] ([50p]) and [HDMI Resolution] is set to [720p] or [480p] ([576p]), HDMI signals cannot be output during recording. CTRL FOR HDMI (Control for HDMI) When connecting this product to a "BRAVIA" Sync compatible TV with the HDMI cable (supplied), you can play back movies on this product by aiming the TV's Remote Commander at the TV (p. 27).  On Operates this product using the TV's Remote Commander.
