When the message "Memory Stick access" disappears, the image has been deleted. To cancel deleting Select [Exit] with V on the control button, then press z. 1 , Insert the "Memory Stick" you want to format into the camera. Set the mode dial to SET UP, and turn on the power. • The term "formatting" means preparing a "Memory Stick" to record images; this process is also called "initialization." The "Memory Stick" provided with this camera, and those available commercially, are already formatted, and can be used immediately. • When you format a "Memory Stick," be aware that all data including protected images in the "Memory Stick" will be permanently erased. 2 , Select (Memory Stick Tool) with v/V on the control button. Select [Format] with B, then press B. Select [OK] with v, then press z. To cancel the formatting Select [Cancel] with V on the control button, then press z. • Using the AC Adaptor is recommended to prevent the power from turning off partway through formatting. 37

“Memory Stick” to record images; this process
is also called “initialization.” The “Memory
Stick” provided with this camera, and those
available commercially, are already formatted,
and can be used immediately.
When you format a “Memory Stick,” be
aware that all data including protected
