Setting the Alarm Output - Alarm output setting Menu When you click Alarm output on the Administrator menu, the Alarm output setting menu appears. You can set in this menu to control the alarm out of I/O port on the rear of the camera linked to the alarm detection, the timer and the Dya/Night function. Motion detection: To set the motion detection function, click Motion detection. The Motion detection setting menu appears (see page 64). Notes • The motion detection function can activate or be set only when the Video mode of the camera is set to MPEG4 and the Cropping is set Off. • In the case that the synchronized preset position is specified, the alarm event that happens during moving to the preset position will be invalid. Alarm output 1, 2 Tab Alarm duration Select the duration for which the alarm output is shortcircuited between 1 and 60 sec. Effective period This item is displayed when Mode is set to Alarm. Set the period while the alarm detection is effective. Always: The alarm detection is always effective. Schedule: You can specify the period when the alarm detection is effective in the schedule setting in the other section. Click Schedule and the setting menu for the effective period is displayed. The basic setting options are displayed below. When you do not use the Alarm output function, select Off. This item is displayed when Mode is set to Timer. Click Schedule and the setting menu for the effective period is displayed. ("Setting the Schedule - Schedule setting Menu" on page 62) Mode Select the mode of the Alarm output function. Alarm: Controls alarm output by synchronizing with an external sensor input or the built-in activity detection function. Timer: Controls alarm output by the timer. Day/Night: Controls the alarm output linked to the day/ night function. Alarm This item is displayed when Mode is set to Alarm. Select the alarm to link the alarm output function. If the selected alarm is detected, the alarm output status changes. Sensor input1: The external sensor which is connected to sensor input1 of the camera I/O port. Setting the Alarm Output
— Alarm output setting Menu
When you click
Alarm output
on the Administrator
menu, the Alarm output setting menu appears.
You can set in this menu to control the alarm out of I/O
port on the rear of the camera linked to the alarm
detection, the timer and the Dya/Night function.

Alarm output
To activate the Alarm output function, select

basic setting options are displayed below.
When you do not use the Alarm output function, select
Off
.
Mode
Select the mode of the Alarm output function.
Alarm:
Controls alarm output by synchronizing with an
external sensor input or the built-in activity detection
function.
Timer:
Controls alarm output by the timer.
Day/Night:
Controls the alarm output linked to the day/
night function.
Alarm
This item is displayed when
Mode
is set to
Alarm
.
Select the alarm to link the alarm output function.
If the
selected alarm is detected, the alarm output status
changes.
Sensor input1:
The external sensor which is connected
to sensor input1 of the camera I/O port.
Sensor input2:
The external sensor which is connected
to sensor input2 of the camera I/O port.
Motion detection:
To set the motion detection function,
click
Motion detection
.
The Motion detection
setting menu appears (see page 64).
Notes
The motion detection function can activate or be set
only when the Video mode of the camera is set to
