N Swing the cap forwards onto the shroud, insert and tighten down the screw (4) firmly. Engine Running Behavior If engine running behavior is still unsatisfactory after servicing the air filter and adjusting the throttle cable, the cause may be the muffler. Have the muffler checked by a servicing dealer for contamination (carbonization). STIHL recommends that you have servicing and repair work carried out exclusively by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. Replacing the Starter Rope and Rewind Spring Removing the Rewind Starter 1 1 1 1 N Take out the screws (1). N Lift away the rewind starter. Replacing the Starter Rope and Rewind Spring N If either the starter rope or rewind spring is broken, continue with "Removing the Rope Rotor". Removing the Rewind Starter

Take out the screws (1).

Lift away the rewind starter.
Replacing the Starter Rope and Rewind
Spring

If either the starter rope or rewind
spring is broken, continue with
"Removing the Rope Rotor".

If either the starter rope or rewind
spring are being replaced as a
precautionary measure, continue
with the following chapter.
