If you use the result of integer division in a subsequent calculation, only the quotient is used; the remainder is dropped. When pressed after entering a number, designates the numerator of a fraction. The numerator must be an integer. To negate a fraction, press M before entering numerator. When pressed after entering a number, designates the denominator of a fraction. The denominator of a fraction must be a positive integer in the range 1 through 1000. If you perform a calculation with a fraction having a denominator greater than 1000, or if the results of a calculation yield a denominator greater than 1000, the TI-15 will convert and display the results in decimal format.
