Service Before Calling Service Troubleshooting Chart Oven Problem Oven door is locked and will not open, even after cooling. Oven is not heating. Oven is not cooking evenly. Baking results are not as expected. Food takes longer to cook than expected. Food is overcooked. Convection Bake/True Convection results are not as expected. Oven temperature is too hot or too cold. Oven light is not working properly. Oven light does not turn off. Cannot remove lens cover on light. Oven is not self-cleaning properly. Clock and timer are not working properly. "E" and a number appears in display and control beeps. With a new oven there is a strong odor when oven is turned on. Control does not react when a key is touched. Possible Causes and Suggested Solutions Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and wait five minutes. Turn breaker back on. The oven should reset itself and will be operable. Check circuit breaker or fuse box to your house. Make sure there is proper electrical power to the oven. Be sure oven temperature has been selected. Refer to cooking charts for recommended rack position. Check "Getting the Most Out of Your Appliance" for tips and suggestions. Refer to cooking charts for recommended rack position. The oven is carefully calibrated to provide accurate results. However, the temperature can be offset if food is consistently too brown or too light. The oven thermostat needs adjustment. See "Oven Temperature Offset" under "Special Features". Replace or reinsert the light bulb if loose or defective. Touching the bulb with fingers may cause the bulb to burn out. Check for obstruction in oven door. Check to see if hinge is bent. There may be soil build-up around the lens cover. Wipe lens cover area with a clean dry towel prior to attempting to remove the lens cover. Allow the oven to cool before running self-clean. Always wipe out loose soils or heavy spillovers before running self-clean. If oven is badly soiled, set oven for the maximum self-clean time. Make sure there is electrical power to oven. This is a fault code. Press "+" and "-" simultaneously to stop beeping and clear display. Reset oven if necessary. If fault code remains, record fault code, cancel oven and call authorized service technician. This is normal with a new oven and will disappear after a few uses. Operating the self-clean cycle also "burns-off" the smell more quickly. Be sure that pad is clean. Touch the center of the touchpad. Use the flat part of your finger. English 24

To replace the halogen bulb on the oven sidewall:	25
1. Turn off circuit breaker.	25
2. Remove oven racks.	25
3. Slide the tip of a flat blade screw driver between the fixing clip and the lamp housing.	25
4. Support the glass lens cover with two fingers along the bottom edge to prevent the cover from falling to the bottom of the oven.	25
5. Gently twist the flat blade screw driver to loosen the glass lens cover.	25
6. Remove the glass lens cover and fixing clip.	25
7. Remove the bulb by grasping and sliding the bulb straight out until the two prongs have cleared the ceramic holder.	25
8. Do not touch the glass of the new replacement bulb with your fingers. It will cause the bulb to fail when it first lights. Grasp the replacement bulb with a clean paper towel or facial tissue with the prongs facing down. Locate the two prongs in t...	25
9. Press in to seat the bulb.	25
10. Slide the protective lens into the holder clip and push the other end until the fixing clip snaps back into the housing.	25

2. Remove the glass cover by unscrewing it.	26
3. Remove the halogen bulb and replace. Grasp the new bulb with a clean, dry cloth.	26
4. Screw the glass cover back on.	26

Removing the Oven Door	26

1. Be sure to read the above CAUTION before attempting to remove the door.	26
2. Open the door completely.	26
3. Flip levers on hinges toward you.	26
4. Holding the door firmly on both sides and using both hands, close the door gently until it stops against the levers, about 30º from the closed position.	26
5. Carefully lift the door up and out of the hinge slots. Hold firmly; the door is heavy.	26
6. Place the door in a convenient and stable location for cleaning.	26

Oven light is not working properly.

Replace or reinsert the light bulb if loose or defective. Touching the bulb

with fingers may cause the bulb to burn out.

Oven light does not turn off.

Check for obstruction in oven door. Check to see if hinge is bent.

Cannot remove lens cover on light.

There may be soil build-up around the lens cover. Wipe lens cover area

with a clean dry towel prior to attempting to remove the lens cover.

Oven is not self-cleaning properly.

Allow the oven to cool before running self-clean. Always wipe out loose

soils or heavy spillovers before running self-clean. If oven is badly soiled,

set oven for the maximum self-clean time.

Clock and timer are not working properly.

Make sure there is electrical power to oven.

This is a fault code. Press "

" simultaneously to stop beeping and

clear display. Reset oven if necessary. If fault code remains, record fault

code, cancel oven and call authorized service technician.

With a new oven there is a strong odor

when oven is turned on.

This is normal with a new oven and will disappear after a few uses.

Operating the self-clean cycle also "burns-off" the smell more quickly.

Control does not react when a key is

touched.

Be sure that pad is clean. Touch the center of the touchpad. Use the flat

part of your finger.
