The numeric mode light, located on the panel just below the F11 key, glows when the numeric overlay is on. When this light is on, pressing an overlay key types the white number printed on the key instead of typing the letter printed on the top of the key. For more information, see "Using the numeric keypad overlay" on page 82. Underside Memory slot cover Battery release lock Battery release latch Battery pack The battery release lock keeps the battery release latch from moving, effectively locking the battery pack. The battery release latch secures the battery pack to the computer, preventing the cover from dislodging from the computer case.
