107 Learning the Basics Using Turn Off or Shut down 3 Click OK. The computer turns itself off. Holding the shift key while the Turn Off computer Windows dialog box is open, changes the Standby button to hibernate. For more information about setting up hibernation "Hibernation command" on page 104 and "Using Hibernation" on page 109. Turning off or shutting down more quickly In addition to the method described above, you can turn off or shut down the computer by pressing the power button. To do so, you must preset the mode in Toshiba's Power Saver utility. 1 Open the Start menu, click Control Panel, then Performance and Maintenance. 2 Click the Toshiba Power Saver icon. 3 Click the Setup Action tab. The TOSHIBA Power Saver Properties window appears.
