The Speedcook Oven 2. Tap Temperature to open a scaled bar for setting the oven temperature. The temperature can be changed in 5° F increments. Defrost Operation 3. Tap Preheat. 4. When the preheat cycle is complete, the oven will chime. 5. Place food in the oven and tap Start. Food placed in the oven will begin cooking regardless of whether Start is tapped or not. However, tapping Start begins the time countdown. 6. When the timer reaches zero, the oven will chime letting you know the cook cycle is complete. 7. To alter the time and/or temperature, follow the instructions in Steps 1 and 2. 8. When the cook cycle is complete, remove the dish from the oven. 9. When you have finished cooking, tap Cancel or Speedcook Oven to turn the oven off. Note: Convection Bake cook cycles cannot be saved to Favorites. defrost The Defrost function can be used to aid in thawing foods, especially frozen meats and casseroles. To access this function: 1. From Cook mode tap Defrost. The following screen displays: 2. Place the frozen food in the oven cavity. 3. Using the keypad, set the defrost time. 4. Tap Start. 5. At the end of the defrost cycle the oven will chime, letting you know the defrost cycle is complete. a. If the food is sufficiently thawed, remove it from the oven. b. If the food needs more defrosting, add cook time with the keypad, and Tap Start. Oven is still ON (OFF is illuminated) once defrost cycle is complete. 24
