You can set network options such as network mode, enable FTP protocol for secure file transfer, and create a workgroup: LAN Configuration 1. View or modify the following LAN (home or office network) settings: Internet Access MAC Address IP Address Network Mode The current status of Internet connectivity for network functions such as NTP, firmware update checks, and remote access connections. Uniquely Identifies the drive. Identifies the current IP address. Select the method of assigning the drive's unique IP address: • DHCP Client causes the My Book Live to obtain an IP address and associated settings automatically from the local DHCP server, or • Static IP lets you set an IP address manually. You will be prompted for IP Address, Netmask, Gateway, and DNS Server. (If you don't know this information, please check your router settings.) 2. Click the Save button. Network Settings
The
Network
tab displays the drive’s MAC and IP addresses. You can set network
options such as network mode, enable FTP protocol for secure file transfer, and

lets you set an IP address manually. You will
be prompted for
