Now you've got double-safe protection for all your media and ultimate peace of mind. What is a Safepoint? A safepoint is a snapshot of your My Book Live at a specific time stored on a compatible network-attached device such as another My Book Live. The safepoint is a collection of all of the data on your drive, including users, shares, WD SmartWare, Apple Time Machine, or Windows 8/Windows 7/Vista backups, and associated device configuration details. In the unlikely event that your My Book Live fails, you can completely recover your data from a safepoint to a factory-fresh My Book Live.
