ADJUSTING THE LEVEL OF THE EFFECT SPEAKERS You can adjust the output level of each effect speaker (center, rear left and right, and subwoofer) while listening to a source. Each time you press LEVEL, the selected speaker changes and appears on the front panel display as follows: center, rear right, rear left and subwoofer. CENTER (Center speaker) ^ R SUR. (Rear right speaker) ^ L SUR.(Rear left speaker) ^ SWFR (Subwoofer) ^ CENTER (Center speaker)... y • Once you press LEVEL, you can also select the speaker(s) to be adjusted by pressing d / u. 3 Press j / i to adjust the speaker output level. • The control range for the center or rear left and right speakers is from +10 dB to -10 dB. • The control range for the subwoofer is from +10 dB to -10 dB. Notes • When the speaker output modes for "1A CENTER" and "1C REAR LR" are set to NON, and "1D BASS" to FRONT, the output level of those speakers cannot be adjusted because there is no sound coming from these speakers. • When you adjust the output level with LEVEL, the settings you made with the test tone will be changed. • We recommend adjusting the speakers by following the steps described in "Using the test tone" on page 20.
