Troubleshooting ■ AUTO SETUP Before AUTO SETUP Error message Connect MIC! Unplug HP! Cause Optimizer microphone is not connected. Headphones are connected. Remedy Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to the OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel. Unplug the headphones. See page 26 - During AUTO SETUP Error message E-1:NO FRONT SP E-2:NO SUR.SP E-3:SBR->SBL E-4:NOISY E-5:CHECK SUR. E-6:NO MIC E-7:NO SIGNAL E-8:USER CANCEL E-9:INTERNAL ERROR Cause Remedy Front L/R channel signals are not detected. Check the front L/R speaker connections. A surround channel signal is not detected. Check the surround speaker connections. Only a right surround back channel signal is detected. Connect the surround back speaker to the LEFT SURROUND BACK SPEAKERS terminal if you only have one surround back speaker. Background noise is too loud. Try running "AUTO SETUP" in a quiet environment. Turn off noisy electric equipment like air conditioners or move them away from the optimizer microphone. Surround back speakers are connected, though surround L/R speakers are not. Connect surround speakers when you use surround back speakers. The optimizer microphone was unplugged during the "AUTO SETUP" procedure. Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel. The optimizer microphone does not detect test tones. Check the microphone setting. Check the speaker connections and placement. The "AUTO SETUP" procedure was cancelled due to user activity.
