Table 12 Confirm Save Screen LABEL Security Setting Network Name (SSID) Network Type Network Mode Channel Security Back Save Exit DESCRIPTION This field displays the SSID previously entered. This field displays the network type (Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc) of the wireless device. This field displays the wireless standard (802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11n) used by the selected wireless device. This field displays the channel number used by the profile. This field shows whether data encryption is activated (WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK, 802.1x) or inactive (DISABLE). Click Back to return to the previous screen. Click Save to save the changes back to the NWD-370N and display the Link Info screen. Click Exit to discard changes and return to the Site Survey screen. 4.4 The Profile Screen A profile is a set of wireless parameters that you need to connect to a wireless network. With a profile activated, each time you start the NWD-370N, it automatically scans for the specific SSID and joins that network with the pre-defined wireless security settings. If the specified network is not available, the NWD-370N cannot connect to a network. If you do not configure and activate a profile, each time you start the NWD-370N, the NWD370N uses the default profile to connect to any available network that has no security enabled. 44 Chapter 4 Wireless Configuration

The Profile Screen
A profile is a set of wireless parameters that you need to connect to a wireless network. With a
profile activated, each time you start the NWD-370N, it automatically scans for the specific
SSID and joins that network with the pre-defined wireless security settings. If the specified
network is not available, the NWD-370N cannot connect to a network.
If you do not configure and activate a profile, each time you start the NWD-370N, the NWD-
370N uses the default profile to connect to any available network that has no security enabled.
