I A CAUTION: Rust or dirt thewheel, or on the parts to on which it is fastened, can make the wheel nuts become loose after atime. The wheel could come off and cause an accident. When change a you wheel, remove any rust or dirt from places the where the wheel attaches to the vehicle. In an towel emergency, you can use a cloth or a paper to do this; but sure touse a scraper or wire be brush later,if you need to, to get allthe rust or dirt off. 8. Replace the wheel nuts with the roundedend of the nuts towardthe wheel. Tighten each wheel nutby hand until the wheel is heldagainst the hub. 9. Lower the vehicle by rotating the jack handle to the left. Lower the jack completely. IA 5-32 CAUTION: I 1 10. Tighten the nuts firmly in a crisscross sequence as shown. Rotate the wheel wrench to the right. Never use oil or grease on studs ornuts. If you do, the nuts might come loose. Your wheelcould fall off, causing a serious accident.
