Ink Tank Lamps z You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes. On: The machine is ready to print. Slow flashing (about three seconds): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank. For details, see "Getting the Ink Level Information" on page 97. Fast flashing (about one second): Ink tank is empty, or the machine is not ready due to an error. Off: Make sure all the ink tanks are installed properly. Operation Panel Name and Functions

[ON/OFF]
Turns the machine ON and OFF. Before turning ON the machine, make sure the
Document Cover is closed.
(2)
Alarm Lamp
Lights or flashes orange, when an error occurs, or when paper or ink has run out.
(3)
Cassette Lamp
Lit when the Cassette is selected.
(4)
Auto Sheet Feeder Lamp
Lit when the Auto Sheet Feeder is selected.
(5)
[Feed Switch]
Selects the paper source. Press this toggle switch to change the paper source between
the Auto Sheet Feeder and Cassette.
Important
While the machine is printing from or scanning images to the computer, or
the computer is in the sleep mode or standby mode, do not disconnect
and connect the USB cable.

Ink Tank Lamps
You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its
lamp flashes.
On: The machine is ready to print.
Slow flashing (about three seconds): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink
tank. For details, see

.
Fast flashing (about one second): Ink tank is empty, or the machine is
not ready due to an error.
Off: Make sure all the ink tanks are installed properly. If an Ink Tank
