The Cisco ATA requires an NTP Server from which to obtain Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to time-stamp incoming calls (H.323 and SIP) to drive an external Caller-ID device. DHCP may also supply a NTP server. If NTPIP is specified, it overwrites the value supplied by DHCP. NTPIP is ignored if its value is 0 or 0.0.0.0. The user must not specify a port parameter. The Cisco ATA uses the default NTP port only. Value Type IP address 5-10 Cisco ATA 186 and Cisco ATA 188 Analog Telephone Adaptor Administrator's Guide for H.323 (version 3.0) OL-4804-01
