Setting up iTunes on the Media Vault and the Computer
Multiple computers in your home often means photos, music, videos and files
are scattered all over the place and difficult to locate. The HP Media Vault
provides a centralized location for all of your media files for easy access from
any computer in your home. Additionally, if you have a Digital Media
Adapter (DMA) attached to your television or stereo, you can stream media
files from the server to your stereo or television.
Music
Consolidate your digital music in one location. It's as simple as dragging and
dropping your music files into the Music folder on your HP Media Vault.
If you use iTunes, you can consolidate your iTunes libraries and playlists from
multiple computers on your network to the Media Vault.
Once music files are consolidated on the Media Vault, you can avoid
unsightly cables and wirelessly stream music to your stereo if your DMA
supports wireless media streaming.
Photos
Before owning an HP Media Vault, you probably stored most of your digital
photos on your personal computer. This is great but you ideally want to show
the photos on your large-screen TV so the entire family can gather around
and see.
With the HP Media Vault, you can save your photos to your server once and
watch them from any computer or DMA enabled TV in your home without
creating copies, transferring files, burning DVDs, or rewiring cables.
