Related Information Viewing the Alert Log Editing System Settings System settings define preferences for your Media Vault. Information such as your Media Vault's name, administrators user name and password, the date and time, and alerts for firmware updates are found here. To edit system settings 1 At the computer, click Start, All Programs, HP Media Vault, and then Control Center. 2 On the Tools tab, click Customize HP Media Vault. You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one up. 3 On the System tab, click Edit. 4 Type the System Name. You can change the name of the HP Media Vault. This is useful if you have more than one Media Vault on the same network. The default network name is HPMediaVault. Keep in mind that renaming a Media Vault forces all your network computers to remap their shared network resources, such as mapped drives.
