The Simple Settings page displays. 5 If you want your Media Vault to automatically check for and install firmware updates, check Automatically check for new firmware. 6 Check Raise alert when new firmware is available to display a message box on your network computer when new firmware is downloaded and ready to install. 7 Select the frequency for checking for updates from the Check for new firmware every drop down list. 8 Click Save. To install firmware updates immediately There are two ways that the HP Media Vault notifies you of firmware updates. One is on the HP Media Vault tab of the Administration Console. If there is a Yes next to New Firmware Available, click Install. The Firmware Options Simple Settings page opens. Click Install Firmware to start the installation. The Media Vault automatically reboots when the install is complete. The other way the Media Vault notifies you of a firmware updates is by an alert on your network computer.
