HP configured these folders for media streaming to home entertainment centers and to iTunes. iTunes aggregator puts files into the Music folder. Media streaming looks for files of a certain type-photos, music, or videos-within the specified folder. Therefore, music must be placed in the music folder or a sub-folder of the music folder. Photos must be within the Photos folder. Videos must be in the videos folder. For example, if a .jpg (a photo file format) is placed in the music folder it will not be streamed as a photo. It is ignored since it is not in the photos folder. NTI's DriveBackup! defaults to this shared folder to store computer system backup files. To create sub-folders
Creating sub-folders on your computer and saving them to the Media Vault
folder on your server provides an easy way to organize your media files.
Follow the example below to learn how to create sub-folders and save them to
the Media Vault.
In this example, you create sub-folders in the Music folder for storing
categories of music.

On your computer, browse to the shared

Use this folder to store any important files that you want to
share across your network.
Music
Photos
Videos
HP configured these folders for media streaming to home
entertainment centers and to iTunes.
iTunes aggregator puts files into the Music folder.
Media streaming looks for files of a certain type—photos,
music, or videos—within the specified folder. Therefore, music
must be placed in the music folder or a sub-folder of the music
folder. Photos must be within the Photos folder. Videos must
be in the videos folder.
For example, if a .jpg (a photo file format) is placed in the
music folder it will not be streamed as a photo. It is ignored
since it is not in the photos folder.
Backup
NTI's DriveBackup! defaults to this shared folder to store
computer system backup files. These are large files containing
all of your hard drive's data.
In addition, NTI Shadow simple backups also default to this
shared folder to store folder and file backups.
