8. Remove the service door (see Removing or replacing the service door on page 45). NOTE: Instructions for removing the hard drive are imprinted on the service door. 9. Remove the four hard drive screws (1) from the hard drive. 10. Pull the plastic tab on the hard drive (2) towards the side of the computer to disengage the hard drive from the connector, and then lift the hard drive out of the hard drive bay. NOTE: The hard drive may be wrapped in a plastic covering. After removing the hard drive from the computer, you must remove the plastic covering to access the hard drive itself. 48 Chapter 7 Drives

from the hard drive.

Pull the plastic tab on the hard drive

from the computer, you must remove the plastic covering to access the hard drive itself.
