C Glossary APIPA See Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA). Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA) A zero configuration networking technique that automatically creates a usable IP network (implemented as part of the Bonjour protocol). DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) A client-server networking protocol that provides a mechanism for the allocation of IP addresses to client hosts. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) An application layer protocol used to transfer information on the World Wide Web.
