MAINTENANCE Maintenance Schedule Periodic maintenance and adjustment are necessary to keep the generator in good operating condition. Perform service and inspection at the intervals shown in the Generator Maintenance Schedule (see Table 3). DANGER Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide. This is a poison you cannot see or smell. WARNING Accidental starting of generator can cause severe injury or death. Before performing maintenance, disconnect spark plug cap from spark plug. NEVER use inside a home or garage, EVEN IF doors and windows are open. Only use OUTSIDE and far away from windows, doors, and vents. • Shut off engine before performing any maintenance. If engine must be run, be sure area is well ventilated. NOTICE Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission control devices and systems may be performed by any non-road engine repair establishment or individual. WARNING Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause a malfunction in which you can be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow inspection and maintenance recommendations and schedules in this owner's manual. NOTICE The maintenance schedule applies to normal operating conditions. If you operate generator under severe conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature, or use it in unusually wet or dusty conditions, consult your servicing dealer for recommendations applicable to your individual needs and use. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance Schedule
Periodic maintenance and adjustment are necessary to keep the generator in good operating condition. Perform service and

(see Table 3).
