Page 72 highlights

Some options have device drivers that you need to install. Refer to the documentation that comes with your option for information about installing any required device drivers. If the server has a ServeRAID adapter installed and you have installed or removed a hard disk drive, refer to the documentation that comes with your ServeRAID adapter for information about reconfiguring your disk arrays. Connecting external options If you install a SCSI adapter in the server, you can attach a SCSI storage expansion enclosure. To attach an external device: 1. Read "Before you begin" on page 40 and the documentation that comes with your options. 2. Be sure the server and all peripheral devices are turned off. 3. Follow the instructions that come with the option to prepare it for installation and to connect it to the server. Note: If you are attaching a SCSI device, see "Ultra160 SCSI connector (some models)" on page 74 for SCSI ID and cabling information. I/O connector locations The following illustration shows the input/output connectors (ports) and the expansion slots on the rear of the server. For pin assignments and other details about these connectors, see "Input/output connectors" on page 65. If the server cables and connector panel have color-coded connectors, match the color of the cable end with the color of the connector. For example, match a blue cable end with a blue panel connector, a red cable end with a red panel connector, and so on. 64 xSeries 200 Type 8479 and xSeries 200VL Type 8481: Hardware Maintenance Manual

storage
expansion
enclosure.
To
attach
an
external
device:
1.
Read
“Before
you
begin”
on
page
40
and
the
documentation
that
comes
with
your
options.
2.
Be
sure
the
server
and
all
peripheral
devices
are
turned
off.
3.
Follow
the
instructions
that
come
with
the
option
to
prepare
it
for
installation
and
to
connect
it
to
the

cables
and
connector
panel
have
color-coded
connectors,
match
the
color
of
the
cable
end
with
the
color
of
the
connector.
For
example,
match
a
blue
cable
end
with
a
