6 SD CARD Importing or Exporting a CSV format file Please read this section before importing or exporting a Comma Separated Values (CSV) format file from the SD card. You can import or export the following data: • Your Call Sign Memory • Repeater List • GPS Memory DDImporting 1. Open the IMPORT/EXPORT screen. MENU » SET > SD Card > Import/Export 2. Touch "Import." NOTE: ••Before importing, make a backup file of all the transceiver's data to the SD card in case of data loss. ••The transceiver cannot display a file that has a file name longer than 21 characters. In this case, rename it using 20 characters or less. When you export the data in a CSV format file using the CS- 9700, BE SURE to name it using 20 characters or less. 5. Touch [YES]. 3. Touch the data to import. (Example: Your Call Sign) ••Starts to import. LAfter importing ends, "COMPLETED!" is displayed. LTo complete the importing, restart the transceiver. TIP: To import a repeater list, see the ADVANCED MANUAL for details. 4. Touch the CSV file to import. 6-5

Importing or Exporting a CSV format file
Please read this section before importing or exporting
a Comma Separated Values (CSV) format file from the
SD card.
You can import or export the following data:
• Your Call Sign Memory
• Repeater List
• GPS Memory

• Starts to import.

After importing ends, “COMPLETED!” is displayed.

To complete the importing, restart the transceiver.

Open the IMPORT/EXPORT screen.

Import/Export

Touch “Import.”
3.
Touch the data to import. (Example: Your Call Sign)

Touch the CSV file to import.
TIP:
To import a repeater list, see the ADVANCED
MANUAL for details.
NOTE:
•
Before importing, make a backup file of all the
transceiver’s data to the SD card in case of data
loss.
•
The transceiver cannot display a file that has a
file name longer than 21 characters. In this case,
rename it using 20 characters or less. When you
export the data in a CSV format file using the
CS- 9700, BE SURE to name it using 20 characters
or less.
