Overview of Web features Web Policies • Alert settings • HTML settings The appliance can apply different policies according to the ICAP service - request modification (RESPMOD) or response modification (REQMOD). HTTP policies Web | Web Policies | Scanning Policies HTTP You can set policies that control how the appliance scan for threats in HTTP traffic. • Anti-virus • URL filtering • Scanner control The appliance can also handle the following types of content: • Alert settings • HTML settings Web Scanning Policies Use this page as a single point where you can access the pages and dialog boxes you need to setup and configure your policies. Web | Web Policies | Scanning Policies Policy settings specify how the appliance handles threats to groups of users or devices. For example, a policy can apply to all computers on the same subnet, or all users in a department. Benefits of using the Scanning Policies page The Scanning Policies page enables you to access all the forms you need to configure and manage your policies for the HTTP, ICAP, FTP and HTTPS protocols. The user interface provides an overview of your policy settings, giving you information about each policy such as the action taken when a virus is detected. By clicking the relevant information, the page to configure these settings is displayed. Where possible, a common layout is used for the sub-pages that allow you to edit these settings; for example, the Anti-Virus Settings page is used within Email | Email Policies | Scanning Policies and also by Web | Web Policies | Scanning Policies.
