Table 281 Option definitions Option Definition Hourly to Weekly Specifies the schedule for the updates. If you do not need this feature, select Never. Finish Closes the wizard and applies the settings. Specify the server settings for downloading spam updates Use this page to specify anti-spam rules, anti-spam engine, and web categorization database update settings. System | Component Management | Update Status Introduction to the spam update server settings All anti-spam rules, and anti-spam engine updates are performed using FTP. Directory For anti-spam updates, the default value is spamdefs/1.x Username Default value is anonymous. Password Default value is anonymous. Use the default proxy settings (configure defaults) The appliance uses information that you type here or the default settings from another page. To access the page at any other time, select System | Appliance Management | Default Server Settings on the navigation bar. Proxy server to Proxy Password If the appliance obtains updates via a proxy server, type the details here. Configure Web Categorization Updates Use this page to specify the web categorization database update type; either full or incremental. System | Component Management | Update Status | Web categorization database | Update Now Table 283 Option definitions Option Definition Incremental Click to download only the parts of the update needed to ensure complete update information is applied to keep the size of the download to a minimum. Full Click to download the complete web categorization database update. McAfee recommends that you perform a full update on a new appliance.
