The Add Policy page enables you to specify the parameters that define the policy, add the users or user groups to which the policy will apply, specify the network groups and the URL groups. What defines this policy Table 170 Option definitions Option Definition Add User Group, Add When clicked, allows you to create complex groups of users, devices or URLs. Network Group and Add URL Group Policy name and Description (optional) Specifies the policy name, which you see in the Scanning Policies page. The description does not appear elsewhere. You can write a long description to remind yourself of the purpose of this policy. Inherit settings from Match logic Rule type Provides a list of existing policies so that you can base your new policy on the settings of an existing policy. Provides choices to use with the rules in the table. Displays the type of user or device. Examples of when to use this option: • Directory group - if you have already imported groups from your LDAP servers. You will be prompted to select a directory group. • User group - for a complex combination of email addresses and groups. Match Displays a linking word, such as is or is not like. Use this menu to include and exclude users and groups. Value Displays the value, such as an IP address. Move your mouse pointer over the option for help with the format of the value.
