Taking still pictures TIPS The monitor turns off automatically. oIf the camera is not used for over 3 minutes, the monitor turns off automatically. The lens retracts automatically 5 minutes after that. Touch the shutter button or zoom lever to turn the monitor on. The monitor is hard to see. oBright light, such as direct sunlight, may cause vertical lines to appear on the monitor screen. In this case, use the viewfinder. This does not affect recorded pictures. • Press the shutter button gently using the ball of your finger. If it is pressed hard, the camera may move, resulting in a blur. Note • Never open the card cover, remove the batteries or disconnect the AC adapter while the orange lamp is blinking. Doing so could destroy stored 3 pictures and prevent storage of pictures you have just taken. • When taking pictures against strong backlight, the area of the picture in shadow may appear colored. The monitor turns off automatically.

If the camera is not used for over 3 minutes, the monitor turns off
automatically. The lens retracts automatically 5 minutes after that.
Touch the shutter button or zoom lever to turn the monitor on.
The monitor is hard to see.
o
Bright light, such as direct sunlight, may cause vertical lines to appear
on the monitor screen. In this case, use the viewfinder. This does not
affect recorded pictures.
