1A I rUTION: , AIR BAG Air bags inflate with great force, faster than the blink of an eye. If you're too close an inflating to air bag, it could seriouslyinjure you. Safety belts help keep you position beforeand during a in crash. Always wear your safety belt, even with air bags. The driver should sit as far back as possible while still maintaining control of the vehicle. There is an air bag readiness light on the instrument panel, which shows AIR BAG or the air bag symbol. The system checks the air bag electrical system for malfunctions. The light tells you there is an electrical if problem. See "Air BagReadiness Light" in the Index for more information. An inflating air bag can seriouslyinjure small children. Always secure children properly in your vehicle.
