6.3.3 Cannot Print from a Macintosh Computer Symptom The printer does not appear in the Selector window Possible Cause Is the printer off? Is the USB or Ethernet interface cable loose or disconnected? Is the network expansion card loose or disconnected? Are the zone and printer names correctly specified? An error message appears on the computer screen Are you using the appropriate Mac OS? The printer is defective. Action Press the [I] on the power switch to turn on the printer. See 3.2.1 "Turn On the Printer" Turn off the printer and check the interface cable. If necessary, reconnect. Turn off the printer and reinstall the network expansion card into the printer. The zone or printer names might be incorrect. Ask your system administrator for the correct settings. Use the printer configuration list to confirm the current printer settings. See 8.4.1 "Confirming Printer Configuration and Network Settings" Print from a computer with an operating system compatible with the printer. This printer supports Mac OS 8.1 to Mac OS X.
