7. Push the lock lever down until it locks into place. § Use one hand only to set the cartridge and press the lock lever down. § Make sure there is no resistance when you press on the lock lever. The lever should lock easily into place. § If you hear any snapping noises or feel any resistance as you press down on the lever, remove the cartridge and try again. 8. Be sure no gap exists between the ink cartridge and cartridge holder. § When secure, the ink cartridge makes contact with the circuit card inside the cartridge holder. Do not move the ink cartridge after installing it. Moving the ink cartridge to the left and leaving it there may uncap the print head and cause it to dry out. 9. Close the front cover.
