Troubleshooting LED indicator status WARNING (only) flashes 5 times repeatedly. WARNING (only) flashes 6 times repeatedly. Meaning Faulty power supply Problem with lens unit installation Cause and countermeasure Abnormal voltage is applied to some parts in the power supply or another failure may have occurred. Unplug the projector from the power outlet, then plug it back into the outlet and turn on the projector again. If the same warning occurs again, there may be a malfunction in the projector. Unplug the projector from the power outlet.* The lens unit is not installed correctly. Unplug the projector, install the lens unit correctly, and then plug the projector in again. If the same warning occurs again, there may be a malfunction in the projector.* * Contact the Canon Customer Support Center. Symptoms and Solutions ■ You Cannot Turn on the Projector Cause The power cord is not connected correctly. The power cord has just been connected. The lamp cover is open. The safety device is activated because the air intake or the exhaust vent is blocked and the internal temperature of the projector has increased. The lens unit is not attached correctly. The air filter is not installed correctly. Countermeasure Check whether the power cord is connected correctly (P80). Wait at least one second after plugging the projector in until you press the POWER button. You cannot turn the projector on immediately after plugging it in (P44). Unplug the projector from the power outlet, then install the lamp cover correctly and turn on the projector again. When the safety device is active, the [POWER] indicator does not turn on when you connect the power cord. You cannot disable this safety device. Remove any obstacle that is blocking the air intake or exhaust vent.* The lens unit is not installed correctly. Unplug the projector, install the lens unit correctly, and then plug the projector in again. If the same warning occurs again, there may be a malfunction in the projector.* Check whether the air filter is installed correctly (P208).
